MCSF - Broden Wilhelmsen

Broden Wilhelmsen

“For over fifteen years, my father proudly served in the Marine Corps. During my senior year, my father left on an eight-month deployment. I am majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Physics at East Carolina University. Support from the MCSF helps make it all possible.”

Broden serves as a mentor at the Semper-Fi Kids camp for children of wounded veterans. Broden is also passionate about the environment and plans to start a company that will advance renewable green energy science.

MCSF - Diana Welch

Diana Welch

“My father, Anthony Welch, has been in the Marine Corps for 22 years. My scholarship from the MCSF helps make it possible for me to attend San Diego State University as a music education major.”

Gifts given with honor are used with Honor. Diana plans to return to Japan, where her family was previously deployed. Her goal is to create a bridge between military families and the Okinawans through multi-cultural orchestral music.

MCSF - Isaac Perez

Isaac Perez

“My father was a Marine, and I was born at Camp Pendleton. One year later, Dad went overseas for the invasion of Iraq.”

Issac’s award from the MCSF makes it possible for him to attend UC San Diego. Because Isaac has lived in Hawaii, Kenya, and France, he has developed an understanding of the hardships people face around the globe. He is majoring in chemical engineering and plans to work in water sanitation to help underdeveloped communities become more sustainable.

MCSF - Jacquelin Lambert

Jacquelin Lambert

“My father’s service in the Marine Corps has influenced all aspects of our family’s life. Dad’s ALS illness created unexpected financial hardships for our family, so we are incredibly grateful for the support of the MCSF.”

Jacklynn is currently at Troy University in Alabama. She is working on her degree in Broadcast Journalism and aspires to become an award-winning, Black, female sports analyst.
